its actually harder to sing after dancing than while dancing. on iland, rain tested the applicants with this. also, another thing is that they dont hv their earpiece, which is the reason why they can find the key and tune their pitch

just to add, yes theyre trained for this, but it is still hard to hear yourself on stage because the music is loud, and not just the music but the booming of the sound system literally reaches your chest (ive been on stage, dancing tho, but it felt like that. like the speakers were controlling my heart). besides this, they record multiple times per day, not just the one you see on screen, and their dances arent the easiest. they probably also havent eaten the whole day because dancing after eating is the worst possible decision ever.

should they get more vocal training? absolutely but you have to understand that their schedule is jammed pack. they have comebacks every half yearly, concerts, fansigns, fanmeets, kcons, cfs and others, on top of training (enhypen literally lives and breathes the airport) so maybe be a little more empathetic before throwing hate to them. not to mention a lot of companies force idols out of their range (twice for example in ycsm and le sserafim's fearless, where chaewon, yunjin and sakura are more comfortable with higher notes)

It’s so sad how the standards have been lowered through out the years, these days fans will praise their idols just for singing live, they don’t care if their live singing actually sucks, I think there’s a difference between having fun/not taking it seriously and just straight up being bad at singing

Momo is still traumatized after all the hate she got off that encore stage… she sang a lot better on right the next encore, but her mood was already down, and now even on latest encores she’s often facing away or not interacting with members and camera as much.
It’s literally just an encore, where idols are supposed to be able to mess around and have fun **after** getting a win. There is no right for someone to hate on an encore performance just because they *expected* good vocals. Your disappointment is your own fault, let the idols breathe after an exhausting performance, skip some lines, talk instead of sing, mess around with their voice. Yes there are some idols who aren’t the best at singing but excel at something else. But even the best singers sometimes have a bad day and you shouldn’t judge a vocal just based on one encore stage.

For some of them you can see that the idols don't have in-ears in, which means they can't hear themselves or the music clearly over the noise of the crowd and reverb around the stadium, so it's fair that their vocals aren't the most stable.
In the end, encores should just be for them to have fun and celebrate! ❤❤❤

I hope y’all realize that in some of these the idols don’t have ear-ins and literally can’t hear themselves. It’s hard to be on key when you can’t hear the key 💀
Edit: I am a classically trained musician and have a lot of experience with in-ears and have worked with plenty of singers. They also have their bad performances as well. And no, I’m not excusing awful singing but a lot of fans that have no idea what it actually takes to sing on pitch every time need to get real with themselves. (also it needs to be said that ur idols achievements aren’t ur own . It’s just pathetic to think that you are better than someone based on others achievements💀)
