Optimization Problem Steps - How to apply these SIMPLE steps to solve any optimization problem | Jake's Math Lessons
Optimization problems are one of the topics in calculus that you can usually get away with pretty much following a step-by-step blueprint of how to solve the problem. You do have to do a little bit of thinking and problem solving on how you can apply the given problem or situation to this step-by-step guide. However knowing the exact steps that you need to go through in order to solve an optimization problem can be massively helpful and save you a lot of headache and frustration. So in this video I wanted to show you a clip from my weekly video that I come out with every Monday night at five o'clock pacific time. Where I talked about the steps that you want to go through for any optimization problem. I think you'll find these steps very helpful because they can be applied to basically any optimization problem you'll run into to make them a million times easier.
Chapters,
0:00 Introduction
1:10 Start to talk about optimization problem steps
1:59 1st Step - Draw sketch
2:42 2nd step - Lebel your sketch
4:29 3rd step - Create your equation
6:39 4th step - Create restriction equation
9:01 5th step - use 4th step equation to substitute variables from 3rd step equation
10:30 6th step - Find the absolute max/min of 5th step equation
