Explained in details the d-d transition,
colour of the complexs is due to the absorption of light of visible region, and complex absorb light and will appear to be in colour of transmitted light I.e also known as complementary Colour.
When an electron is transferred from one d orbital to other d orbital ,this transition of electron is known as d-d transition.
