PHILIPPINES ONION CAPITAL - Becoming Filipino in Nueva Ecija

I EXPLORED THE FAMOUS ONION CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES IN NUEVA ECIJA!

A week ago, I randomly saw there was a "Sibuyas Festival" in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija. Taking my motor from Manila, I arrived on the morning of the float parade. Before experiencing the Festival, I headed up to the Labi River and found myself swimming in a beautiful area of the mountains. There were so many natural huts, and families having a great time by the river. A very clean and refreshing river! I found a wonderful carinderia for lunch, then a great coffee shop surrounded by farmers fields.

Later in the day, the Sibuyas Festival Float Parade and Street Dancing begins! There were more than twenty beautiful floats...

WITH A LOT OF ONIONS!

Yes, this is the Onion Capital of the Philippines and there are onions and good vibes everywhere!

Ive been to many beautiful places in the world, but none of them compare to the Philippines. Its not so much that its the most beautiful scenery Ive ever seen that keeps me coming back, its the beautiful spirit of the Filipino people. Ive never felt so welcome and so at home than I did each time I was in the Philippines. It truly is a unique place, that you have to experience for yourself to fully understand.

Beautiful floats! But I think the more important message from this sibuyas festival is to help and support the farming industry. The government should stop importing farm produce and support our local farm supply instead. Thank you for showing Nueva Ecija, Kulas.

These guys must be the Filipino counterparts to the California Raisins. 16:31

I never tire of seeing all the different festival parades in the Philippines. They're all so unique even though they have many of the same elements. Enjoy the Sibuyas Festival, Kulas! 🧅🤙

I just love Philippine fiestas. The celebration is very festive and colorful. So much fun as can be seen in the faces of the locals and aura. Of course not to forget the good food. 👍🏽 Thank you and Power On!

My mother's family is from Nueva Eija, and watching this puts a smile on my face. I always enjoyed my time there when visiting with family and friends. Definitely a more relaxed lifestyle.

My first job right after graduation took me to Nueva Ecija. The company I worked for was hired by the government to study the role of credit in the farming community. I was 21 then, now I'm 75 and retired in the American upper south. Watching your videos on Nueva Ecija brought back so many memories. Thank you!

This can become a tourist attraction, thank you for featuring this Kulas!! I didn't know that they even have this festival, plus the river scene in the PI. Consider this when visiting the PI friends.
