Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire. The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong'o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela. “The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world. The wild adventure swings into theaters in 3D on April 15, 2016.

The wolf mother played by Lupita Nyong is maybe the most underappreciated role in this movie. She is great and brining up a lot of emotions. Very much like Tarzan´s mom in the Disneys Tarzan movie. Much needed from the Animated version. This adaptation is wonderful. They take more things from the books and still holds true to the spirit of the Disney version. A great movie. The only thing that might ruin it to you is if you don´t like some of the actors and can´t see past that. I did´t think I whould like Bill Murry as Baloo but he come trought. Great Baloo. He and Bagherra is still that awesome couple looking out ofr Mowgli.

The voice celebrities of Scuttle, Flounder and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid live action movie that came out earlier this year nailed it JUST AS good as all these actors nailed their roles in The Jungle Book. Ben Kingsley and Bill Murray were my favorite voiceover actors and Scarlett Johansson and Awkwafina were no different from how they nailed it as Scuttle and Kaa. The Jungle Book will always be my favorite of all these Disney animated films to be remade into live action films.

Even tho I’m not the bigger fan of this remake, this casting is pretty spot on! 🤩

For example: Idris Elba showcases Shere Khan’s threatening and menacing nature brilliantly! Ben Kingsley showcases Bagheera’s grouchy, yet wise and caring side wonderfully. Bill Murray showcases Baloo’s lazy, care-free, but loveable charisma fantastically! Plus, his rendition of Bare Necessities is pretty killer!

I loved the movie! It's like every live action remake of their animated classics gets better and better. Cinderella was extraordinary, this one was even better. I'm really looking forward to see what they're gonna do to Beauty and the Beast.
