Derren Brown is a British mentalist, illusionist and author. Since his television debut with Derren Brown: Mind Control in 2000 he’s produced multiple series and specials, winning two Laurence Olivier Awards. Derren doesn’t claim to possess any supernatural powers and his acts are often designed to expose the methods of those who do. He often claims his impossible effects are merely achieved through "magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection, and showmanship".

For the confused about how he influenced her choices:
-1st can (blue): "pick up the FIRST one you're going to spray"
-2nd can (green): "...and for the SECOND one, the SECOND one"
-4th can (red): "what's the LAST one you're going to spray?"

His phrasing subtly suggests to her "pick the first", "the second", and "the last" can. I recommend Darren Brown's book "Tricks of the Mind" if you're interested in this kind of stuff. It's an awesome read.

Good thing I wasn't the spectator. My first choice was the black can.

First, black is not associated with something good, but rather unpleasant, ence this being the can with spray.
Then Derren clearly used NPL, by saying "You got the blue one there" and if you notice he takes his time to say this.
After this he says "Pick up the first one... you are gonna spray", and he uses the word "first" and "first one" multiple times.
He does the same thing with the red one by saying "now for the second one, the second one, huh..."
Then for the red he says "You've had blue, you've had green", which makes the person want to complete the color wheel, and then he reassures the unconscious choice by saying  "What's the LAST one that you are going to spray", red being in the last place.

He gazes extremely hard at the one he wants her to pick, she sees that body language, and subconsciously chooses the correct paint can

maybe the sprays are timed, only after a certain amount of time will it start to work.
or maybe only the 4th one will work, for example you have to put three caps there in order to activate the last spray in some way

the last choice is probably a mater of judging her character. She probably is the kind of person who wants to seem out going wile in public so she chooses the 
on a subconscious level this would lead her to chose red because black would seem boring.

I think its a combination of suggestions
- As she picking the first one, 'pick up the First one'..
- Just before she picked the second one, 'so youve chosen blue, what're you gonna go for Next'
- Just before she picked the third one, 'Whats the Last one that youre gonna spray... black or red' (notice the order)
- Colours on the spray cans
- may be more...

its all in the way he delivers the questions the first time he asks what colour the lady wants to choose, he is always saying thing like 'you have a *1* in 4', 'your *first* choice' etc. the load the conversation with 'first' or 'one' kind of influences this continues all the way through. the last choice red or black is a bit different though i belive this choice is influence by the colour of the table cloth. I could be wrong but I think if you watch more of his vidoes with a focus on the mannerism of derrens speach, actions and the surrounding envirnoment that has been created you will begin to see a methodology in the way he interacts with the participants in order to create influence.

Don't know how much his words made in impact on her decision, but you could hear him say
1. "Pick up the first one", and she picked up the first one in the row from her.
2. "Pick up the second one", and she picked what was the second one in the row from her.
3. "Pick the last one", and she picked the last one away from her, skipping the one with paint in it.

There probably was also some color influencing going on.

He could also have made several papers with different colors picked arranged in different combinations, and we only saw one of them that he revealed, that corresponded to the order she picked it.
