The New York State archery tournament is the culminating event offered to all archers of schools participating in the National Archery in the Schools Program. It’s an opportunity for students to prosper from all their hard work and compete in front of their families and friends. Archers from across the state come together to take part in this live tournament.

Students compete in 3 divisions made up of High School, Middle School and Elementary School students. Awards are given to individuals and teams from each division. Students who place in the top 10 of their division, and teams that placed first in each of the 3 divisions, qualify to compete and represent New York State at the national tournaments, hosted by the National Archery in the Schools Program.

More than 2 million students take part in this international archery program. Of that number, more than 34,000 students from over 300 schools are from New York State.
