Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing

Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing 🍯🥗
This salad dressing recipe has been my go-to favorite recipe over the past few years. It’s quick and easy to make, comes together in a few minutes, and has the perfect balance of spicy, sweet, acidic, and savory. The shaking of the jar is one of the most important parts. It binds the oil and vinegar together through mechanical forces, and the mustard acts as an emulsifier to hold it together. A typical vinaigrette also uses a 3:1 ratio of oil to vinegar. Feel free to adjust this according to your own preference. I hope you enjoy this recipe and follow for more! 🙌🏽👨🏽🍳
Ingredients:
-3 parts extra virgin olive oil
-1 part balsamic vinegar (can use red wine vinegar or apple cider too)
-juice of 1/2 a lemon
-2 tbs honey or maple syrup
-2 tbs Dijon mustard
-1 tbs garlic paste or minced garlic
-2 tsp dried oregano
-2 tsp salt
-2 tsp black pepper
-1 tsp red chili flakes
-Instructions:
-add all the above ingredients into a mason jar or plastic deli container; place on the lid
-shake the dressing vigorously for 1 minute until the dressing has combined and homogenized (oil and vinegar mixed well)
-the dressing should coat the back of a spoon
-if it still is not coating a spoon or homogenizing well, you need to add more of a binder (mustard, mayo, etc.)
-give it a taste and add any more seasoning you feel it needs
-always give it a quick shake before using
-enjoy with your favorite salad!
