had the same issued, which persisted after changing battery and pushing reset button. What worked:
Removed battery from GSC 10
Waited overnight, allowed sensor to discharge completely
Placed new, good quality battery into sensory with positive side facing up
Pushed reset button
Voila! red/green lights :D
