I actually emailed Robert Moog (around 2002) using the email address that he mentions in this fragment and got a nice reply back.
There is also a video on YouTube were he himself mentions how to pronounce his name.
Another giveaway is a Moog synthesizer from the 1980s: Moog The Rogue. With the correct pronounciation this name rhymes with itself. 🙂
