How Sound Like John Carpenter (The 80's Horror Movie Sound)

In this video, I'll go over a little of what makes up John Carpenter's music and I'll then demonstrate a quick example I wrote of one, paired with a scene from The Shining (1980).

It's funny bc it was seeing Carpenter perform his own scores live that convinced me to completely rethink my approach to live music and delve back into the world of Synths & Hardware.

As a bass station / microkorg user for 3+ years now, this feels like coming full circle.

Ok for starting out I am thinking of minilogue bass station or jd xi?? What would be the differences I guess I know the minilogue can do quite a bit but the bass station is cheaper I'm not sure lol
