Hey guys, don’t feel bad about paying yourselves to do the work! Not for one second! We live in the world we live in, and you all need to eat. People support you so you can do the work, and you’re doing much more than most of us do ✊

As a native american, we believe that every living thing, no matter how big or small is here for a purpose. Sadly, so many think it's ok to throw garbage in oceans, which do NOT belong to us, we are just visitors in THEIR home. Would someone go visit in someone's home and throw their trash on their floor? I doubt it. We are thankful for all grandfather's creations, and it's our responsibility for all that come after us to have the same opportunity to enjoy these amazing creatures. Thank you for doing your part!! 💞

I’m so happy to hear your daughter is doing well. It’s been 20 years since I battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. May she have a long happy life free of further cancers ❤️

Thank you to all members of the OCN team for participating in this live video and for helping to educate the audience. Each member of the team is invaluable for what you are accomplishing for rescuing the seals, and also helping in educating the public about the problem of plastic pollution and what each of can do to help minimize, and possibly eliminate the plastic pollution pronlem. THANK YOU!

My all-time favourite capture is the one with the small gang of seals trying to protect their buddy being rescued - so cute and loved Naude giggling at their behaviour.

“ONE” innocent video came up as a recommendation….oh maybe a week ago…..and I’ve been binge watching since then. Needless to say, not an abundance of things getting done around the house as a result. I love watching you guys at work, you’re doing an amazing thing rescuing these sea animals…and even one whale I’ve seen, so good on you! You all amaze me as a team and you work so well together. Pollution of our earth needs to stop and fishermen need to be more careful with their hooks and nets. It’s good to see everyone’s faces and I wish you all the best in this journey! Blessings from 🇨🇦!!

Lovely to hear indepth background of OCN history and how it was built, logistics of working day, team involved, environment you have to deal with, and day-to-day activities. Truly commendable. Your passion shines through Naude. I'm sorry to here recently Wally and Kat have returned to Iceland (2023). Hopefully you will recruit another amazing Namibian individual with your passion and commitment. Continue your credible and important rescue work.

Well done, Denzil! First time doing public speaking is always the hardest, keep it up. Huge thank you to all of the team for the amazing work you all do!

You probably had to bring Denzel
by force with the net to bring him in the front of the camera.
Very well done!.
You are heroes, Dudes.
I feel honored to make a small part of this massive effort.
A big hug from Brazil.

Dear OCN team, seeing this Q&A more than a year after you held it clears up so many questions for me; thank you for posting it permanently on your channel!
I really admire your passion and perseverence! And I am very aware of the fact that all this, founding and sustaining and developing an organisation like OCN, is only possible because we live in the age of the internet. Who in all the far corners of the world would know of you and your essential endeavours for Namibian wildlife if you were not able to film it and share it with your worldwide viewership? As bad as these times we live in sometimes are (and the aweful aspects are what necessitates your rescue work in the first place!), the remedies are there as well.
For us as a species, our next "Quantensprung" needs to be to find or "mine" the synergies, the resources, and the solutions that are part and parcel of the development our species is going through. I am a strong believer in the possibility of that kind of change. And watching your work, day after day after day, is a constant renewal of this message of hope.
Well done to all of you! Keep up the Good Work! 👏🙏❣️

I'm glad that Denzil spoke. I know he's not used to doing that, but the speaking does get better if he keeps at it. Naude, continue to give him the chance to speak once in a while for the practice.

Awesome! Thank you for making time to do this. I learned that being in a third world country that you don't have immediate access to the things many of us take for granted. Internet, e-commerce and social media even works different in Namibia. Luckily they have ties in Germany that they can funnel some things through. I think it's the logistics that make things more difficult for them as well of lack of resources. Again, Thank You OCN team for all that you are doing.

Katja, your comments on the financial side were frank and open which is very refreshing. the decision on not taking on volunteers is just, and exactly the right thing to do. Denzil, you did wonderfully. Practice makes perfect - talk more! We are all your friends out here. Antoine is a good communicator, but we all know that anyway from his bedside [or beachside!] manner with the seals! I did think we were in for a Jaw's style comparing of bite scars at one point!
Really enjoyed the hour, so informative, and I am excited to see your team and work grow.

Good to hear/see Denzil talk and smile, he's quiet, shy, nervous to talk but it'll get easier with time. My most memorable times when Denzil tripped getting off back of truck and he was laughing and then Naude was laughing 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️😍 Naude the time he snucked up on a large sleeping bull and used a hook to cut the entanglement with out waking him.💯💪🏾And Tony with his bedside manner ❤❤
