It's been decades later and yet Akira Yamaoka's sound is still instantly recognisable with all those super melodic guitar licks. There's obviously elements of the original track in here to be recognised, but he's still done something completely new with it as well. I remember just sitting on the title screen of the original SH2 just to let the cutscene play with the original version playing on it all the time.

I stood there, mesmerized by this song after finishing SH2 Remake. What a great game, man. The Bloober Team did an incredible job. The coolest thing is that their first game was Layers of Fear which was clearly inspired by PT Silent Hills, and now they have given us an incredible remake of Silent Hill. It certainly must have been a dream come true for them to work on this project.

Resident Evil games were always my top franchise. Never played Silent Hill games. Until now, after Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill is my top.

We finally back... Back to Silent Hill. To be honest despite all negativity around the remake i really love new Yamaoka score. It feels really new for the game. He cooked here and nobody can deny that.

You can literally hear James story listening to this track. The initial mysterious yet luring acoustic guitar in the intro, to the start of his realization in the bridge, then the struggle in the chorus, and finally resolve at the end. It is a beautiful track. Gives me chills.

Thank you for posting this! Been wanting to hear the full version ever since the story trailer. The added guitar riff around 0:10-0:11 had me hooked when I first heard it.
