The bass goes so hard in this song. Wish we’d get to see Blaze more. She’s a super cool basically alt universe version of Sonic.

The fact that Hideki sampled a freaking black rights parade just goes to show how legendary this game's ost was

Thank you Malcom X, for giving a speech for your voice to be used in this song.

Trivia about the "too black, too strong" sample:
Hideki Naganuma has stated he intended it to be about coffee. The original source actually came from a Malcolm X speech, which was talking about Black people... using coffee as an analogy. The full line is "It's just like when you have some coffee thats too black, so its too strong. What do you do? You integrate it with cream". (Refering to how the whites were messing with their rights to make blacks weaker)

Is this why Eggman Nega is called Nega?

I don't know why, but I like the alteration of speakers when using headphones.

I would like to add that the violin / fiddle sample that can be heard (at 1:17 as an example) during the song can also be heard in the soundtrack of the Sega Saturn game "Grandia", in the track "Snow Town Raynu" by Noriyuki Iwadare. Probably, the sample is from a pack that both musicians appreciated.

I swear DS games had the most epic and memorable boss music in all gaming

I always loved the use of the words "too strong" in this song. It feels like the game itself is telling you that the boss is too strong, but you don't care, because you got Sonic and Blaze on your side.
