Analysis: Election eve polls narrow Labor's lead

Sky News Political Reporter Tom Connell has provided an analysis of the federal election campaign – with Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese both making a final push to sway voters.

Election polling has narrowed; however, questions remain about whether it will be enough for the Coalition.

I must say its quite concerning that none of the voting sections are *checking peoples ID, * meaning anyone can technically just vote on behalf of anyone. Why on earth is this not a basic requirement? They used to do this but now this has been removed?

I know an experienced AEC worker who lodged their interest weeks ago and wasn’t offered a position until this Monday, four days before the election.
She had since been offered another position and replied both times.
Still no confirmation one day before the election.
So if you’re queued up for ages and they say it’s a staff shortage you’ll know why as I’m sure she’s not the only potential worker who has been willing to work but screwed around by the AEC.
