Dr. Danica Chen recently presented a talk for the SRF Education Department, entitled "Aging: Through the Lens of Metabolism." Dr. Chen is a Professor of Metabolic Biology, Nutritional Sciences & Toxicology at the University of California at Berkeley.

Thanks. Very interesting. Just to note that the Conboy work (ref 2022 paper) showed that removing a significant fraction of old plasma shifted the lymphoid to myeloid ration to younger phenotype which Dr. Chen mentioned as an aging consequence due to loss of HSC function. For older DYI types, you might try monthly plasma donation (at local blood bank) and tracking blood markers with standard CBC test. Donation removes about 25% of plasma. Also, if I recall correctly, some years ago Valter Longo also noted that several days of fasting (or near fasting) killed off older white blood cells and resulted in improved the Lymphoid to myeloid ratio.
