3:50 yes, it is Argus! He’s a servant of Hera (sister and wife to Zeus) and is described as having a hundred eyes, and to never sleep. In later stories, he was appointed by Hera to watch Io (Hera’s priestess) who had been transformed into a cow by Zeus in an attempt to hide her from Hera’s wrath. He was then killed by Hermes when he played his panpipes until Argus fell asleep, and then slaying him with his sword. Hera, in mourning and in pity for her favorite servant, placed Argus’ hundred eyes onto the feathers of the peacock.
