Redbubble: Uploading MATURE Designs? DO THIS

If you're uploading mature designs onto Redbubble, you can run into an extremely frustrating problem where the print-on-demand design won't save (because you have one of the products turned on that shouldn't be). Here's a quick workaround that can save ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK on Redbubble.

good idea, this problem has gotten me countless times. it's ridiculous they don't just auto disable the products.

Great advice! I have gone one step up from this method. I personally have two preset go to designs (pre-existing designs) that have already been setup for Mature content, I have one "template" setting for my Redbubble 9100x6300 (Large Poster) _ My default blank canvas I design on - and a second Mature Content 'Template" for my Standard Amazon 4500x5400. - All products within the 'go to designs' have been adjusted & set to fit the products to the original Artwork size uploaded.

Hello Mr Watercooler? 😁 I have a request. Would you do something on showing us how you actually store and label your files? Like, do you keep a file folder for each tshirt design and keep all other files of same image (i.e. mugs, stickers, etc..). Or, a different file folder for say... Sticker folder... Mug folder... Etc.? Any file organizing tips would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

WOW! I wish I'd seen this before learning it the hard way! I'd even had this happen before about masks, but thought I knew a little more now, and spent an hour or two adjusting for all the (most) items only to learn about the pet products! Ouch! In fact, I was considering just avoiding ALL "mature content" (even though my work isn't really very mature, but occasionally includes some swords and action violence - no gore). Is there a place where all the forbidden items is listed? Or could you list them? Also, knowing how to recover from a wipeout (to a previous save) is golden news! Thanks again!

Youtubers are the worst as they dont usually say to mark designs as mature content. In the past i have questioned them about pointing it out in future. They dont, and one actually gave me a snide reply thinking he knew better and cartoon beers or wines was fine, lol, he no longer sells on bubble as he got banned. So glad you made this.. Dont get me wrong people will still risk it as they are lazy or greedy..lol thanks for content.

TO ZEN Watercooler: When I visit Redbubble, I see many designs use profanity (the "F word" for example), and are visible. Others are not visible, and hidden behind a "Mature Content" cover (so you cannot see the design underneath, unless you click on the link).
My questions to you:
1. When you upload a mature content design (beer, guns, blood for Halloween designs, etc.) and you click the "Mature Content" checkbox when uploading (or editing as you did in this video), does that design then get put behind the "Mature Content" cover (or hidden from view until clicked on)?

2. Or is it easily visible (i. e. without a cover) by anyone who has visited Redbubble and somewhere clicked some "I am over 18" kind of link or check box?

For example, I see many beer and alcohol designs, and many profanity (text only) designs, when I look at some niches that are NOT adult (or sex) oriented. These show up in "funny" niche or other places that surprised me to see them there.

I am over 18, so is that why I can see the designs with profanity on them?
But, then why are some designs covered up with the "Mature Content" cover?

3. Is it because those profanity designs were not tagged as "Mature Content" when uploaded, and then the Redbubble software did not screen or recognize it as "mature content" and prohibit it from being viewed by public?

I ask this because I was shocked to see many t-shirts with profanity (or sexual references or images of nudity) that appeared without ANY cover (that is the "Mature Content" cover hiding them).

I see a lot of beer designs on Rdbubble that are not set to mature. I don't think Redbubble is too strict about mature settings.
