The long monologue at the end of this piece by the Site Director is the most self-aware reflection on living in a world with bizzare concepts like this SCP. Reading (or listening in this case) to this story left me amused, but the horror of the piece only really set in when I listened to this case report, this guys gripes feel so real. Absolute Cinema.

Very bold of a US Entertainment company to name themselves "Sputnik Studios" in the middle of the Cold War, I think the real anomaly here is why they didn't get red-scared.

I definitely don't mean this as a criticism, but it is fascinating how SCP has evolved over time. I never would have have thought of this as SCP content a few years ago.

You could (data expunged) this whole time!?
No…only when it’s funny

Someone really saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Space Jam and thought "hmmm what if this is disturbing"

Oh wow, it really does mean a lot to see someone covering this article. I remember putting a lot of time into it and my collab partner was an incredible help. Thank you a lot for covering this. I can answer any questions anybody has here if you are so inclined.
For anyone listening in, I do recommend checking out the article itself. I feel like there's a bit lost if you can't see the blue text or the drawings we did for the article, which I don't believe this video uses many of our drawings which is a bit of a bummer. There's especially a lot of drawings in the exploration logs. There's also a few details missing, I'm guessing due to monetization reasons.
I do really enjoy the usage of backgrounds from existing cartoons though. Especially the Arthur ones, what with the PBS vibe Societown is meant to evoke. (Societown is specifically a bit of a reference to Cyberchase).
I've recently stopped writing for the SCP Wiki, but Sputnik Studios will continue to appear in my future projects. The magic in 8060 will not leave us, I can promise you all that. Take care.

To me this felt like an homage to being a child. Where dreams can bleed into reality and how you feel like you can do anything. It also feels like an homage to reality slapping you in the face as an adult about how nothing is as easy or nice as it seems. That ending where Rowan left and seemed normal but depressed sorta felt like he was accepting that part of his life is over and he has moved on. Idk I may be projecting my own feelings onto this but hey, isn't that what art is all about?

This is my new favorite SCP now. We need a fully animated scene where Rowan battles against Horris in glorious "Cuphead" style animation!

I woke up from a nightmare of turning off my alarm for waking up for work and forced myself awake to discover my alarm doesnt go off for another three hours and was blessed with this video staring back at me

I can’t express how amazing this channel is. I’ve listened to just about every video on this channel related to scps. The regularity, style of reading, and work that is done to bring these can’t be understated. You know it will be a good week when a new episode comes out.

I love seeing a steely Dan reference in the wild. Their music is too powerful to be forgotten

Given I've read the comment from one of the authors stating they became disillusioned with the scp community this line feels like it might be part of the reason why. Almost like, the scale of SCPs has blown out of control and now they just exist to tell stories without actually considering the fundamental of what S C P means.
Edit: Ratking's comment suggested that you go through the actual article yourself and look at the custom artwork they did for it and while I normally listen to TES audiobook style, I decided to go check it out. I'm really happy I did. I found it kind of hard to grasp what was going on with just audio and seeing the toons really helped me put together the narrative more. The ending image with Rowan kind of shook me to my core.

I didn't think it could be any better, and then that final line hit. A lot of the credit here goes to the skip's author, but Mangg himself absolutely slayed with that one sentence on top of an already excellent paraphrasing of the piece.

These cartoons remind me of Max Pegasus's toon themed deck from Yugi-Oh

ok the ending is supporting the canon that we the readers and writers are scp 001 cause this acknowledges the fact that more scps keep popping up and have new classifications
TheBuddhaSon
When someone made them SCPS with living drawings, Chuck Jones, Walt Disneyvand Mickey, it was only a matter of time someone decided to do one inspired on ToonTown.
AROBASPARK
Honestly, poor job from the researchers. This scp definitely sounds very fae in origin. I'd wager that the studio made a deal with fries to help make their shows and movies quickly and cheaply and that the lost final episode was made as a sort of tribute. Seeking after this lost episode would then be considered "intruding" on their property allowing the fae to Lure you into their domain. The way time works differently, the way people are physically and mentally changed, and the abstract and confusing physics that do still follow some sort of logic all point to fae trickery.
Especially the insistence of names being important in that bakery scene. That's what first tipped me off.

I need to stop trying to listen before bed when these are more than 20 mins because I fall asleep so fast to the narrator’s voice

Mans was about to accept immortality as a cartoon entity then got spooked so bad he noped out entirely.
