the reason that the Korean war is also called the forgotten war is because it was not just after world war 2, but it was just before the Vietnam war.

My gramps fought there in the 1st Marine Division carried a BAR while fighting in country. Now 94 years old, and now just opening up about his time in the Marines.

I have a newspaper article of when he was a corporal, and the Marine Corps sent him to Nevada to “witness” and by witness sit in a trench while an atomic bomb goes off at a certain distance where they wouldn’t die obviously.

America lost the war because they let off the gas pedal and let the North Koreans regroup with China which America always does let’s off the gas now I understand why they do it because they realize a full throttle American war would be very detrimental but still just because u let off the gas doesn’t mean u have to brake u can just cruise if u get what I’m sayin
