I did the same thing in 2009, i moved from concord CA to Guadalajara mx, no regrets.

Yes Mexico is a good resource to live, not money is enough because the high prices, USA or I dont know who is making us to go into very bad economic position.

he could literally live ANYWHERE besides the bay area and save money... but living in Latin America is more about culture. As for those of us in rural America where the costs are creeping up and the pay is lower, Latin America is attractive. Except for the language barrier.

We love you all here we really do, but pls don’t gentrifie everything, a lot are coming here to continue working for the us remotely and earning us wages which are way higher than here, you are basically kicking people form their houses to put airbnbs and earn more; Mexico really need to deport the illegals and create a new visa for the ones that want to work remotely to make them pay taxes with locals; we really want all of you to come like you in the us receive a lot of ours, but pls don’t abuse of your advantages, I know people that were kick out of their apartments in Mexico City because of the American gentrification form all the California states coming to live here but work in the us
