Skunk2 How-To: '06-'11 Civic Si Cold-Air Intake Install

Skunk2's all-new Cold-Air Intake system for the '06-'11 Civic Si is the most comprehensive kit available. Each kit includes relocation hardware for the battery, ECU, fuse box, and cooling system reservoir tank as well as high-quality stainless steel hose clamps and mounting hardware. Unlike other intake systems, only Skunk2's unique design and brackets allow for the OEM battery to be retained. A specially shaped, silicone upper radiator hose is also included with each kit to ensure maximum clearance for the intake tubing and proper fitment.

Looking for easy modifications is completely different from looking for modifications for maximum power. This intake was designed with power in mind. It may take a few more minutes to install, but the end result is worth it, plus everything needed is included in the kit.

It may be more work than other intakes but OMG its worth it!!!! Skunk2 is amazing!!! This intake is crazy. I just installed it to my 07 Si sedan today. Added a hydro shield to the filter to protect it in a rainy day. Once you hit VTEC the sound is intoxicating!!!

Are you familiar with the configuration of the 2006-2011 Civic Si? Because of the design of the vehicle these "modifications" had to be done for us to provide large diameter piping and optimum routing for power gains. Do you want horsepower or just intake noise? The Skunk2 system is designed to help you make power. We've received huge amounts of feedback about how complete the kit is and how it really isn't very tough to install.

The shot of the reservoir BEING installed is how we designed the kit, the car had to be delivered back to the owner before we could shoot the dyno session. To finish the video, the car with the kevlar cover was shot on the dyno, that vehicle had a competitors intake on it when it arrived. The customer ditched it for ours. He had already relocated his battery and reservoir to use the OTHER intake. The location we place the reservoir is fine, you can still move it if you like, your choice...

I just ordered this for my car and am super excited but got a question. 3:15 shows mock up line ups with new battery tray, I've never drilled anything before. What size drill is being used ?

Do you need to make configurations in the computer with an hondata or it will get configurate by is own?

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.

If you ever need to re-install the stock intake, do u have to also re-install the original ECU and battery locations?

I just put the kit in today, The ECU was a total pain to mount to their breacket, but it got it. Theres no way your gonna get all three of the battery bracket bolts without a lift.
Also the filter hangs down lower than what they say on their site. everything else went pretty smooth though. It would have been nice if they included one more house to you didnt have to leave the stock metal hose It looks kinda bad just sitting there with 2 open ends. Other wise great kit. PWJDM fit better though

I have a 2011 Civic Si. I just bought the Skunk2® - Alpha Series™ Swap Stainless Steel Race Headers, Skunk2® 413-05-6030 - MegaPower RR™ Exhaust System, Skunk2® 343-05-0100 - Cold Air Intake, and Skunk2® 519-05-1580 - Lowering Spring Kit. Will that be a pretty good start? Do you get decal stickers with the items when I receive them? Were should I go from here?

lol you guys make it look so easy, my car is still stuck on jackstands because the way you designed your radiator hose itll hit the shifter cables and i cant shift so now i gotta do some weird stuff w zipties to hold it out of the way

hey man i got my skunk2 cai when it first came out and it never turned the check engine light on might want to go back im sure you might of missed something vac hose would be my first guess GL
