The question was posed at 28:44. I love my country no doubt but this treatment of public sector workers especially teachers is UNSATISFACTORY. I am a teacher at a primary school in Clarendon and the infrastructure has been in a deplorable state for many months now. Oh, it seems like the assessment team missed their turn and do not know where Clarendon. What about GPS? School is about to reopen and they are just discussing phase as to how to have the issue resolved.
Can someone convince a teacher here in Jamaica not to leave when your compensation package in the Caribbean region, Americas, Europe, etc is at least three to five times more than the amount you get in the land of my birth and not to mention the benefits for you and your entire family. I spoke to someone in the Caribbean and they are getting close to JA$300, 000 per month after deductions. It is quite depressing so yu know wha mi a guh jus a guh PRAY.
