I am Jereme - my wife and I paid off 50k in debt, quit our 9-5 jobs, sold most of our stuff, drove across country from Oregon to Michigan, and bought a small A-Frame Cabin in cash to live simply.

This decision gave us more control over our time to actually focus on the things that matter to us - serving Christ, each other, and our community better.

I created this channel to empower you to become more intentional with your time, talent, and money in order to live the life that you want to, not what society expects of you.

Thx for sharing your perspective. Personally, I think choosing the right type of vacation reenergizes you, expands your world view, and creates variety in your memorable experiences. Vacations don't have to be expensive trips to Hawaii or Disney. Road trips, camping, holidays with relatives, or weekends in the city can all be quite memorable, and inexpensive. In my opinion, families need a periodic break from the routine.

Wow. This is good. We were debt free for a short time. Now we have a little (we are able to pay it off now with savings, but my husband doesn’t want to see the savings that low). Now that I’m a stay at home mom we need to pinch even more. I want this for my husband. We live in such a striving world and it distracts us from what really matters. This is my dream as well, to slow down, spend more time with God and to cherish and sow into my family which I feel is what God has entrusted me to do

I am totally burned out from the striving and stress of a “career”. You climb the ladder and then look down wishing you hadn’t climbed it. All it brings is more stress and less time. I want the type of life you have so bad. I am so burned out and now I have no motivation to even do things like dishes or laundry. I don’t care anymore. There is a part of me that wants to cash out my 401K and take like a year off to figure out what to do. I’m not sure if financially that is a smart decision but burn out is real and anything would feel better than this. Great video. I know something is happening in my life to where I need to start making changes! I admire you being brave and taking your life into your own hands and living the way YOU want to. That has to feel amazing!

Thank you for the encouragement! I'm definitely going to show this to my husband for uplift! I quit my job this year.. I had a massive heart attack at age 35 years last year my husband said no more work. Since we surrender all to God and never look back. Thing couldn't get any better debts are being paid off more than 15, 000 in debt within 6 months we paid. Yes, my husband is working three jobs and I stay at home mom caring for my two autistic children. By the grace of God were going to live debt free and my husband slightly realizes my wife is a tad crazy to think were going to do this with three jobs. Baby steps he cannot believe were doing it. We may have little money but were doing it. God will supply all our needs. He HAS and will Continue!

Our kids are grown now and my husband and I are enjoying traveling to see all of the US. We take our time and keep it very affordable though - so I don’t see that changing. I understand how people would no longer feel the need to take vacations just to get away from everything though. We are trying to have everything paid off in 9 years and retire early. We gotta keep on enjoying life in the meantime though because we aren’t promised tomorrow. Love watching your videos!

I think you are spot on. We are not debt free, but we did start our own business in September. My husband is an electrician. Instead of working 40 hour a week jobs, we now are building our business together. We met for lunch yesterday and wrote it off. We get to build something together instead of giving people our time and energy now. It is a completely different lifestyle. We don’t feel the urge to get away from it all. If we go anywhere it is day trips mainly. We actually like our lives now! What a concept.
