Google has finally created prescription lenses for Google Glass, so people with less than perfect vision can try the wearable computer. There are four new frames — but will they change your mind about Glass? More from The Verge:

I'm actually really concerned about how much of your vision is being obscured by Glass. I wear glasses, so I already have a limited field of perfect vision - why does the non-see-through part of Google Glass stretch OVER my field of vision? It'd look like a big, black (or blue, orange, red, whatever) box further to the top-right of my vision. It's something I'd consider a major design flaw at this stage of development.

Why not make it adaptable to all glasses?

Definitely looks better, not that I had much a problem with the original design.

Heres my problem with google glass. What will they do with people who have a handicapped right eye, can it be switched to the left eye? If someone can only see out of their right eye, like myself, will it be a major distraction?

That's good. However, I used to be near-sighted (had corrective surgery) and I didnt need glasses when it was within 1 foot from my face. So it's still a problem. Unfortunately, something that may be hard to figure out.

I'm waiting for the next generation, Google Plastic. The one that goes in your eye.

I don't know if im just starting to get used to see these glasses on the web all the time, but I actually think they look more decent now. Especially or should I say, at least with these new frames. I even think I'll buy one when the consumer edition goes for release someday. Kind of excited :)

What if you want to use the glasses without the google glass attachment? They better make an option for you to be able to detach and attach it somehow.

So you need to remove your prescription glasses whenever you go to the bathroom, into the cinema or when you're driving?

"At least now, they'll be able to *see* for themselves." Ah, I see what you did there!

$1500 plus $225, that's just outrageous still!

Well essentially this is the Demo/Explorer version its one of a kind its one of the first ever made so of course its going to cost near $2, 000 but when it is released I would be surprised if it costed anything over $370 and prescription glasses would prob cost about an extra $60 which means if I had to estimate Glass wont go any higher than $470, but I mean it is worth it and i don't think that they will release it if it will cause you to loose your eyesight.

Glass in the Bohn Zone. In all seriousness though, it doesn't look as obnoxious as I thought it would. A aesthetically pleasing and fluid design should have the screen actually in the lens. Proximity to the eye and battery life would be and remain a problem. I would give it a shot if the price point neared $500 USD

Google has spent so much time on this that it has to be perfect at consumer launch.
