I love the way Anya’s face just falls a little when Curly makes his joke about the dead pixel. It’s like seeing her realize, in real time, that she’s not going to be able to rely on him for help.

It feels so weird not seeing the huge “SAFETY” letters

Apparently Curly's blindness to the burnt out pixels on the screen in favor of the bigger picture was symbolic of his tendency to gloss over or ignore problems, like not confronting Jimmy's behavior, for the sake of not disrupting the mission. Though, Jimmy went from a black mark in the corner to an axe in the center of the screen.

Looking back at this scene, it pains me she IMMEDIATELY pins down the rest of the journey as 8 months

God the flash of jimmys silhouette legitimately made me sick to my stomach. You really did the scene justice.

I never realized until now, but Curly's comment about how "it's for the same reason they put a lock on the cockpit" may be an indirect way of saying "He would have gotten in anyways"

Seeing this conversation being brought to life is so gut wrenching I can’t… Why was Curly so clueless 😞

The thing that makes me very sad is how long they have, eight months.
Anya’s pregnant. By the time they get back, she’ll be basically about to give birth

it really puts into perspective how horrible pony express is in that they would put locks on what’s “safe” but don’t think to put a lock on their living quarters like a crewmember having their own privacy is just too expensive or unnecessary, i think about it a lot and like it really puts a light on how so many jobs now are like this, putting up a front of “we do it for you and others safety.” but don’t even give you the bare minimum on the individual level there’s this whole thing of a grand scheme of their ideas not factoring things like well my workers work in cold conditions so i can get them gloves or stuff like that.

Dude. That flash of Jimmy at the door in the end: Perfect. Really captures the trauma Anya had when Curly said “safety”.

God, this is so well done. The expression in Anya's can really see her pain. And the look of concern Curly gives her near the end. Made me want to cry.

The flash of Jimmy in the doorway really emphasizes the horror Anya endured that night :(

I love how Curly is such a complex character
He’s not a bad person, and he’s definitely not the villain of the story - his biggest flaw was that he was too nice, too much of a pushover. I love this game and I love the complex and mature themes it explores

Absolutely haunting line. When she asked that question is suddenly clicked on what actually happened, and I was absolutely disgusted. Incredible writing..

i love how curly puts his code scanner on the table, referencing how he is talking to her not as her captain, but a friend.

Reminder the events of the story would not have occurred if Pony Express has simply put locks in the sleeping quarter doors.

Jimmy's existence is also majorly at fault, but he would have hit a stone wall VERY early on if Pony Express wasn't criminally negligent in the most basic of safety measures.

0:59 As someone who is familiar with the shining and Anya's design being inspired by Shelly Duvall, the little reference to room 237 just tickles my brain so much

Anya’s face face when she said “8 months” really put it into perspective.
