Poor kid was brainwashed into thinking anyone but Germans and Aryan types were not acceptable people, but in the end he’s a little boy who loves his mom and he never realized how innocent and little he is until he loses what he holds dearest. His mother.

Just for those who don’t know, the boy (Jojo) was in a WW2 training camp for Germany which turned him very patriotic. When he got home though, he found out his Mother was keeping a Jew safe in their house. After becoming friends with the Jew neighbors got suspicious and ratted the mother in, then when Jojo was on a walk, he found his mother hung in the town square.
