I am a parent and two of my children go to Full Sail. One just graduated (FILM) and one graduates (Gaming) this December 2020. Everything that the staff expressed in the video my children lived we love full sail. It delivered on every promise and goal and allowed their creativity to blossom while receiving an education and hands on on how to be the very best in your field.

I’m currently a month 19 Full Sail Game Art student. Just so everyone who is thinking of going to this school knows, that’s how you’ll go about classifying yourself. Because with Full Sail having accelerated degree programs, we don’t exactly have freshman year, sophomore year, etc. I thought I’d share a little story with all of you who are considering Full Sail. Before I graduated high school, I wanted to join Full Sail straight away. My parents however could not understand that video games are a big part of my life. Whenever I wasn’t hanging out with friends, I was gaming. I wanted to learn to be a bigger part of the gaming world. Full Sail was my one and only choice because of their accelerated program. When you people first think of the accelerated degree program, it might sound nerve wracking, but you have to think of it like this. Instead of having to divide yourself between 4 to 6 different classes every semester, you just focus on one class every 4 weeks (sometimes 2), and build up those skills. Now it can still be hard, but it really works for some people. I loved the sound of it so much, but my parents couldn’t see past me wanting to go into the video game industry for a living. They were heavy on the discouragement and I felt trapped and so very down. I let them get to me and I started my college life at a local university. In short, I loved my friends, but hated my life academic wise. There were maybe 2 professors there that I had any kind of connection with. Then later came some family health troubles that caused me to take 2018 off from college. When 2019 was coming up, I had to start thinking about college again, and I realized that I wasn’t going to go back to the university. I started thinking about Full Sail again an I told myself, “I have to do this for me”. That’s basically what I told my parents. Full Sail was the only answer if I was going to go back to college. They fought me a little on it at first, but they finally relented. Later on once I got through a few classes, they started to understand me better. I love Full Sail. I’ve never been able to relate to professors as well as I have here. This is where I should have been from the start. This is where I belong. Your family might not understand at first like mine didn’t, but hold your ground. Don’t let anyone talk you out of it. Here’s the reality. Getting into any form of the entertainment industry is hard work, but put in the time and effort and you can get there. Whether on campus or online, if you feel like you belong at Full Sail, then it’s probably because you do. Good luck everybody.
