I'm not trying to be a "D" but a different tuning does not make it a baritone. The longer scale length is what makes it a baritone (usually 26.5" or longer). If you tune down a standard guitar it doesn't magically become a baritone it's just a tuned-down guitar.

Why not just get a seven or eight string guitar? I never knew they made six strings that were specifically for low tuning because countless upon countless people tune six strings down that are not known to be a baritone.
