Показать описание
-----------------------------I talked about the problems and solutions of walking with a bent knee in cerebral palsy. Crouch Gait Cerebral Palsy is the most important problem in children with Cerebral Palsy. it is also the most common Gait pattern. It is progressive if not intervened, so prevention and early identification are essential. However, if it happens, proper treatment can help children walk again. In this lecture, I have highlighted the importance of early recognition and new treatment strategies for this difficult problem. if we can recognize this problem of crouch gait when a child is growing we can fix it with minimal surgery and the fastest recovery so far. we have started using the concept of growth modulation in adolescents who are still growing and the child can start walking within in few days of surgery. in this video, we have given information regarding the use of tendon transfer & SEMLOS in crouch gait. if the child is young and there is a flexion deformity of the knee. child has short hamstring muscles then this technique works wonderfully. Traditional surgery techniques are muscle and tendon lengthening and tenotomy which can harm too much to the child in place of benefit so should not be done.
