Dune Oasis - Godot 3D Concept Scenes!

I rewatched Dune (2021) recently, which got me inspired to make another quick exploration into good-looking 3D for a new biome in Godot 3.X

Unlike Arrakis, I decided my desert needed a bit more colour to detract from my lack of artistic talent, so settled on an oasis that just so happens to be beset by Shai-Hulud ^^. Oddly couldn't find many decent photos of a real oasis, so mostly off the dome for this one. Foliage is still looking off, especially in the water, but work has been full on for the last ~month+ so really just happy I could upload anything.

This was running at 100+ FPS, but seems I broke something that dropped it to ~60. Will see if I can fix it down the track. Also, just noticed my reflections are set to update once and not always -.- No matter, all part of the journey in learning how to make better looking 3D scenes.

Anyway, hopefully Mr Zimmer doesn't mind me taxing his music for this short clip :D

This looks amazing. And even more impressive is that you did this in Godot 3.x instead of Godot 4. The particle effects and water look great. If you haven't tested yet, you can try placing all palm trees in a MultiMeshInstance node to improve the performance.
