A better than average B western. James Craig was an underrated leading man. Dean Jagger was one of the great character actors who was awarded an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in the WWII War movie 'Twelve O'clock High' with Gregory Peck (1949).

This is the first time that I saw James Craig that I can recall.
I never did like Dean Jagger. And Harry Morgan was too small to play a bad guy/gunslinger. Chill Wills was a good actor.
15:00 minutes into this movie and it's interesting so far. I'm waiting on Dean Jagger to get terminated.

Good movie. 3 out of 5 ⭐'s. I'll look out for more James Craig movies.

The premise of this movie is built around the first transcontinental railroad, which was a 1, 912-mile continuous railroad line constructed between 1863 and 1869 that connected the existing eastern U.S. rail network at Omaha, Nebraska/Council Bluffs, Iowa with the Pacific coast at the Oakland Long Wharf on San Francisco Bay.
