As my mother was ready to depart from this world, 行かないで IKANAIDE was naturally playing in mind. What was left in the evening was a cold room filled with tears of ocean.

It's not just because he's an older man or the original singer. When you watch other videos of him singing, whether he's young or old, you can truly feel the depth of emotions in his performance.

Actually, most professional singers in Japan agree he’s one of the greatest singers ever, some even say he’s the very best to this day. He is a national treasure.

Koji Tamaki legendary singer from Japan

This man is a legend in Japan. The thing about Japanese singers is they put their heart and soul into their musicianship. I haven’t heard Dimash do this song but I’ll take Koji’s version, the original voice, any day. I’m not really fond of covers because a lot of people forget the original artist and give credit to the ones who cover.
This song has beautiful lyrics and music. It’s a classic.

I get tears in my eyes each time I hear him sing this song. ❤

This version is so gut-wrenching! The first few times I viewed this, I was a sobbing puddle of tears! This is not like his original recording in 1989. Check out that original version, as it's more "mainstream/poppy" sad song. This version in his later years is so much more; direct from his soul!! 🎶♥️🎶♥️

La version de Dimash me faisait déjà pleurer, mais là, j'ai encore plus d'émotions. Et malgré son âge, sa voix est incroyable.

So happy you experienced KOJI TAMAKI. He is one of the best singers in Japan. I strongly recommend his "Den en", too!

I love him❤ Maybe "Melody" for your next reaction? Thank you. (It's Koji not Koi) 😍

The difference between Dimash’s version and Koji’s version is the difference between sadness and pain. Dimash’s technical genius is unrivaled but his emotions seem manufactured. I enjoy watching reactions to Dimash’s more than listening to him sing. Koji’s emotions, on the other hand, are genuine and deeply moving. Peace
