The headline "Indian son rises over the empire" is pathetic. Didn't expect this from NDTV. We should remember Mr. Sunak is a British citizen of Indian origin, and contributes to that country. This entitles him to contest for PM election there. Wasn't he the UK Chancellor before this ? He is not going to lord over UK.

Sonia came from Italy through marrige in her 30's. Sunak had his upbringing in Britain, rose through local Politics first then MP.

Rishi Sunak has nothing to do with India. Yes, he is a Hindu and his wife is Indian. But RS grandfather migrated from Pakistani Punjab (Gujranwala) to Kenya, where his parents were born and later migrated to UK. RS was born and raised in UK, educated at Oxford and Stanford, where he met his wife…It is like saying all Muslims are Pakistanis or all Hindus are Indians. How ridiculous! Though RS does pooja of “gao mata” but he also loves beef tenderloin steak on mushroom sauce.
