Today I am going to show you how to smoke one of my favorite hams of the Pit barrel cooker. This carver ham from costco is just a big chunk of meat and is already applewood smoked. We are going to double smoke it with hickory until its about 130 degrees, pull it then glaze it with a sweet glaze. Thanks for watching and if you like what you see please consider subscribing.

Honey ham glaze

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp ground clove
1/8 tsp paprika

Been doing this ham on the pbc for years now its way better then the red foil one we sell, not sure about all the sugar stuff but good idea for my in-laws. One thing I would like to say tho when lighting the pbc just leave the coal basket on the ground outside of the grill when dumping the hot coals in use one of the rods to evenly distribute the coals around then just pick it up and put in with your gloves on

Great color on the twice smoked ham Kevin, and man yeah, that glaze gives it a perfect balance with the salty. I could go for a big ham sandwich with that bad boy about now :D

Awesome Kevin think I’ll stay away from the sugar. However smoked a ha, for Christmas and it was amazing. Like the videos. Keep them coming.
