I bought a 2015 R/T AWD a few months ago as a credit rebuilder. I feel like I got great bang for the buck with the amount of vehicle I got for the money. As an almost 10 year old vehicle, it still has great features like the heated seats and wheel, the fantastic Uconnect system, a great Alojne stereo, back up cam and tons of storage and passenger room. I like it a lot because it has just enough of the features I want and none of the new driver assist stuff with bells and whistles and warning lights and vibrating seats and all the nonsense new cars have. The driving position is very comfortable and commanding. This is an excellent long distance cruiser. I commute 120km round trip all highway daily with it and it’s an excellent ride. The highway fuel economy is acceptable for an all wheel drive box on wheels on the highway, I can average around 10L/100k. The city fuel consumption is disgusting, I can be as high as 14-15L/100k which is pretty rough for a V6. J used to do around 10 in the city with my 3.8L Buick Lesabre. The AWD is the fuel killer, however the winter time stability and the extra peace of mind traction do somewhat make up for the extra fuel use. The engine itself is great, but the 6 speed auto can be a little bit laggy and rubbery sometimes. If you’re just driving normally, it’s smooth as can be, but when trying to accelerate quickly or pass on the highway, it gets confused and either holds or drops a gear at weird times and then feels like a haywire CVT. Overall, it does everything I need and want it to do, and I would absolutely buy another one, maybe an 18 or 19 Crossroad. Price point is great for what you get as a used vehicle. Pretty much does everything a Durango can do except have a V8 and a little more room. Solid 8/10 vehicle for a daily family vehicle that will get the job done. This is also the first Dodge I’ve ever owned, in over 100 vehicles in 20 years.

Have the Durango and my wife has the journey they're pretty much the same car it's just one is bigger and badder with a hemi but when we bought them they called the Durango an suv and the journey a mini suv both are very spacious both have DVD player for the kids the Durango is a gas guzzler where as the journey is not I love both cars and so does my wife :-)

Not a fair comparison to the hybrid Highlander IMO - that STARTS at $47, 300. You could buy two Journey V6's for that.

Thanks for the review! It's Canada's #1 selling crossover

I bought a brand new 2014 Dodge Journey FWD last year and I absolutely love it. It has enough pick up for me and it runs extremely smooth. Plenty of room for my vacation needs, very good gas mileage and it looks fantastic. I could not be happier.

Look at it as a Forester replacement. More power, more luxury and deep discounts.
It works!

Automatic tail gates are the worst thing ever. They're slow, annoying, and stop if there is a single hair "obstructing" it. Good that it's missing it.

Oh My! You have to use your arm to close it! WOW, what a drawback. It's not like we have arms for a reason... And we wonder why America is so fat and lazy.

I love my 2010 Dodge journey sxt, leather, heated seats, power everything. It rides very well and I get better gas mileage than 19 mpg. I am going to buy a 2014 Dodge journey r/t AWD can't wait.

I have a 2015 Journey SXT and I love it. Excellent quality car for its price. Only complaint is the fuel economy, it should be way better then it is. Other then that it is a great SUV for families. Drives comfortably, reliable and handles very well. The 8inch Unconnect system is the best in its class for sure!

The Dodge Journey AWD is one of the best vehicles in it's price category.

I own a 09 RT AWD Journey and absolutely love it. I use it for work and it doubles as my farm truck, the AWD system works well (traction control off) and I have taken it offroad into some pretty gnarly terrain and it took it in stride. The only limiting factors were ride height (I do have General Grabbers on it)  and the size of my balls! I understand my DJ is no jeep but just  thought I would pass my experiences along. Don't be afraid to get your DJ dirty, they love it!

Love the dark blue/teal colour! I drive these quite often at my job and I absolutely love them! They're really nice, smooth and comfortable to drive and have a nice solid ride. Its a great vehicle.

Im surprised he didn't mention the price vs value! Simply one, if not the, best for 3 row seating.

I owned a 2012 DODGE JOURNEY AWD . The car is great and FUN to drive! I don't seen any problem on it. I already change my brake pads once as I reached 65, 000 Miles on it, now I'm at 76, 000 Miles already. I drove it twice from Maryland to Colorado . and Arizona to Maryland twice. I'm an aggressive driver on the highway. Speeding to +10 or over on the road posted It gives me 23-25 MPG Highway using Cruise Control at 75 MPH . Over all? I WOULD SUGGEST TO BUY IT.

P.S. I change up my factory tire which is the Kumho Solus into PIRELLI  Centurato P7  225/55-R19. So smooth and quite on the road.

In Mexico, on the highways, in a 2009 dodge journey, I commonly hit 100mph running down. Feels great. Very underrated car. Very fun.

I LOVE MY DODGE JOURNEY! I'm a Chrysler fan. Who cares if it "outdated". You literally get a lot for your money with this thing. Granted the gas mileage could be a little better but it's a crossover which weighs more and it can haul 7 people thats the way it goes it's a SUV/ crossover. I just bought a 19' model. I have the v6 Pentastar its fast, quiet and it's smooth. The only issue I have is with the uconnect system it doesn't always recognize my phone so I have to redo it either maybe it's my phone cuz I always buy cheap cell phones or it's just the Uconnect system. The radio is kind of wonky you can't change the climate controls as in the direction of air flow when your on the phone using the Uconnect but it's okay. It definitely has power style and overall the look is amazing.

Man, they finally come up with a proper place to hide your weed, but now you don't even need it in Colorado.
