Shelby GT500 vs Hellcat Challenger 1/4 Mile Drag Races

2020 Shelby GT500 Mustang lining up with a Dodge Challenger Hellcat for some 1/4 mile drag racing.

GT500 has the air box lid & filter removed, and took off the hood vent rain tray. Hellcat is on 17" Mickey Thompson ET S/S tires and the GT500 is running Toyo R888Rs.

I’ve seen countless number of videos of the gt500 destroying hellcats, zl1s, z06s, and others! People hate to admit the gt500 might give dodge a run for the money

You hear that 5.0 rev upwards of 7k. That's when things got ugly for the hemi. The race was spot on. 650lbs tq 707ish hp hemi gets the jump. 625lbs tq 760 hp smaller displacement 5L ish out revs and out runs the hemi down the track. Smashing race.

Despite its weight, the hellcat just moves with that low end torque at the start. Those hemi really do have grunt . Mustang has good top end too
