8 gb VRAM pushes me out. I’d rather pay for mid journey, than buy a new computer. Happy the tech is advancing though. I have and old optiplex it can only do six, without me chopping the case. Your not finding an 8 gig gpu in a compatible machine on a budget. I get the desire to not pay subscriptions but if you can afford the computer then the subscription is probably in your budget. Mid journey definitely takes the win here I think.

Save 10 bucks a month, by skipping mid journey for the next 6 years and you can afford a computer that can run this, woohoo lol. Obviously this does not apply to those of you with 8gb already. Mid journey is not that expensive the only time I’ve ever need my 30 dollar subscription was the first month I got it and went crazy. And I use it all the time. Probably an hour or two a week. I have switch back and forth between the two but it’s not a bad deal by any means. I also love the ability to use it one my phone. And yes I know you can have your own computer running and run that from your phone but is it really worth it? I don’t know. The only reason I like stable diffusion more than mid journey is sometimes I need bit more control. Midjourney is the budget option until GPUs get better and cheaper.
