Building a House: Construction Steps – HVAC & Plumbing Rough-in, Back Framing & Fireplace Changes!

We are building a house, and in this video we are starting the rough-ins as we discuss the importance of planning out the HVAC system and we walk you through the on-site rough-in for the HVAC ducts and plumbing. We also make a last-minute design change to the fireplace wall in our family room, which requires some rework in framing. Our framers also come back on-site to complete the back-framing around any new ducts.

We are continuing the on-site construction process of building our custom home and previously on our new home build we completed the excavation, pouring the concrete foundation walls & basement slab, waterproofing, back filling, framing the house, installing the roof, connecting the basement drains, installing the windows, applying stucco and stone on the exterior, and insulating the basement foundation walls – make sure to catch those episodes if you want to get up to speed.
