The Basic Building Blocks & the Origin of Life (Long Story Short, Ep. 4)

We’re often told that origin of life experiments have simulated the production of life’s building blocks under conditions that mimicked the early earth. Or at least that’s what many textbooks say. But is this really true? This video shows how origin of life researchers “cheat” by using purified chemicals that don’t reproduce actual natural conditions. Another dirty little secret is that prebiotic synthesis experiments often don’t report the bulk of the product: toxic garbage that destroys the building blocks’ ability to form more complex molecules. Watch this video to appreciate how origin of life experiments don’t come anywhere close to accounting for the vast complexity of biology. I spent a summer in 1974 studying under Lynn Margulis developer of Endosymbiosis. I pointed out to her that symbiosis that changes from one type of organism to another seemed like it was engineered. She replied that yes it looks that way, but we cannot say it. She then pointed out how viciously she was attacked for saying Natural Selection had no creative effects whatsoever, but only selected what was already there. In other words she contradicted standard Neo-Darwinism's Dogma and was vilified for it. Some fields of science allow no dissent.

The Scientist came to God and said “God, we don’t need you anymore you can leave now, we’ve got it all figured out and can take care of things from now on.”. God, being a gentleman said, “Oh, well that’s great but before we depart let’s have a little test of your knowledge. Excellent video. I enjoyed it.
It won't change atheists minds though, they like thinking they're the apex of human thought and this video shatters much of the information they've been spoon fed by scientifically inept YouTubers and they can't have that, so it's a case of just ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist, or attack it with slogans and sophism rather than deal with the science.

As a chemist, I think abiogenesis is indeed, by far, the weakest link of the whole naturalistic mythology (and yes, I think it's adequate to call it that), even if we grant standard uniformitarian assumptions and extrapolate from known chemistry and thermodynamics; indeed, biochemistry (more so than say macrobiology) has revealed more and more how _fragile_ the inner works of cell life really is, providing the most compelling evidence for design in nature, AFAIC...

Finally some academic integrity and sincerity. Abiogenesis is real troublesome for evolutionists, and the *origin* of life is even more problematic (Minimal Gene) . None of these lab experiments (even with all the non-realistic setups they’ve operated in) yielded all the necessary amino acids required for life; in some setups, a handful would form while others wouldn’t, and vice-versa; thus failure to form the existence of life without these necessary amino acids. As a Chemical Engineer, I’ve always wondered why this issue was overlooked, or perhaps, swept under the carpet, but finally. Thanks a lot for this legitimate educational content!

Craig venter and Jack szostak aren't mimicking natural environments and if they ever succeed in the lab with all their designed equipment, all that will prove is that it takes intelligent design to produce life!
