QUAN LAN – GOING OFF THE BEATEN TRACK IN HALONG BAY | TRAVEL VLOG #15

We would have NEVER ever visited Quan Lan had it not been for my mom and her husband, but it turned out to be a great experience – we almost had the whole island to ourselves :)

If you're looking for a non-touristy island in Ha Long Bay - Quan Lan is it! There's not a lot going on on Quan Lan island, which is definitely part of its charm. You can take a local ferryboat from Ha Long Bay to Quan Lan. The journey takes a couple of hours, and you're sailing through the beautiful Ha Long Bay.

When we went to Quan Lan, we were the only non-Vietnamese people on the boat – and almost on the island.

Hi there! I'm Anne-Li – Danish girl, globetrotter, travel vlogger, blogger and digital nomad traveling the world with my partner in crime and long-term boyfriend Mathias. Spending a month in Budapest every summer taught us that traveling does not have to be expensive and that slow travel is the way to go – for us.

Thank you Anne-Li for your video! I'm sorry to hear that you were not feeling well; I hope you are feeling much better. I looked in Google Maps to see that Quan Lan is one the most easterly islands as you come out of Ha Long Bay so I can understand why it would be one of the more underdeveloped islands as far as Western influence. I'm glad you had your mother, Christian and Mathias with you to explore the island. Looks like the weather has become a little cooler. Great vlog! Thank you! Thumbs up!
