This is a fan-made music video I created for the song "This Time", written by Chris Trapper and performed by Irish actor and musician Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the 2007 film "August Rush" starring Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Terrence Howard and the late great Robin Williams (1951-2014).
I first saw this movie in 2011, when I was 7 years old. At the time, I was a drummer and that was all. I focused on rhythm and that was all. However, this film made me realize that there was more to music than just rhythm. There were melodies, cadences, arpeggios. There was even music theory that I still had yet to discover! To this day, this film is at the top of all of my lists, it gets a 10/10 rating every single time, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
I love this song because of the story behind it, as well as the melody, in addition to Jonathan Rhys Meyers' voice in general. When I watched the movie again just a couple of weeks ago, an idea struck me to create a fan-made music video for the song that resembled a professional one using scenes from the movie.
