Thanks for the review. Looks like a good basic G-Shock with all the Casio AE line features. This is what I would get if I wanted a basic G-Shock. You mentioned that once you get a solar G-Shock you won't go back. That had kind of been true for me after I got my Rangeman GW-9400-1 which has nearly all of the features a G-Shock can offer as a non-connected watch minus vibrating alarm and Bluetooth and GPS. I think I would go for this GD-100-1a model if I got another G-Shock as it has the same features as my Casio AE-1200wh-1a which I love but in a tougher G-Shock form.

Actually I have that kind of watch Casio G-SHOCK GD-100 & until now they used it for almost 10 yrs. It's very tough watch even in the sports or outdoor activities specially on my job as a field worker that sometimes exposed on bad weather conditions or crossing the sea.💪💪💪

yeh i always wonder about the 'shatter more easily' argument against sapphire. if that was true they wouldn't use it at all on any g shocks, but they use it on the high end ones. casio do use it across other ranges, i wish they would offer it on more entry level g shocks

Thank you for this video ... I spotted this watch for £55 GBP and for the money you CAN'T buy a better watch.
Little known fact... Casio fitted more accurate modules in the G-Shock watches than the ones they use in budget watches like the Casio F91W and the Casio W86.. So they hold FAR more accurate time.
It says in the handbook for this watch ... Accuracy +/- 15 Seconds a month... Let me tell you they are far more accurate than that. So you only need to set the time when the clocks go forward and back.
Summary ..YOU CAN NOT buy a better watch for £55 GBP.

Most dives dont go beyond 70m, diving with any 200m G Shock is fine.

How do you turn the hourly alarm off dude and adjust the date which is saying Sunday 5 - 18 just inherited one of these today, it's five years old he said but mint. Cheers
