Q/A with Dr M. Hamid Zaman for PharmaChk's Future Plan

PharmaChk: Our efforts to develop new technological solution which was awarded a $2 million “transition-to-scale” grant in 2014 in improving public health. The issue of counterfeit and substandard drugs is pervasive in Pakistan. It affects our public health, leads to drug resistance and causes several financial hardship. Why does this problem, despite local and national efforts, remains stubborn? In this talk, I will explore the origin of the problem, the gaps that exist and what role technology can potentially play in addressing the challenge of fake drugs.
