Trump learned, from a Border Patrol agent herself, how people are already getting around the border wall.

Amid the government shutdown, President Donald Trump visited McAllen, Texas, and attended a border wall meeting with border patrol agents about border security and his plans to build the wall. In the meeting, a border patrol agent explained to President Trump how illegal drugs are being smuggled through border tunnels. These drug tunnels are quite large. These tunnels perhaps imply that a border wall won't work. Trump might have seen why a wall won't work in this border wall meeting. Drug smuggling is a serious problem at the border. Tunnels are used to transport people, drugs, and weapons. Most drugs flow into the United States through legal ports of entry. Trump's wall would not strengthen security checks at legal ports of entry, yet his supporters continue to chant build the wall.

If you pay attention to Trump’s body language. He crossed his arms in front of him, which indicates a strong defensive attitude. No question the expert just made him humiliated.

This comment section is awesome! First, I wanna thank the border agent for explaining tunnels to Trump. He was gonna address this back when Mexico was still paying for the wall. He shouldn't have refused that deal last year. Now I think this is all just cover to distract from Muller's upcoming report. Fact is, I'm not convinced he even wants the wall.

If there was no wall they would not have to dig a tunnel under it. When I worked in El Paso, Texas and near San Diego, Cal. there were many vehicles confiscated with people, drugs or both; sometimes kids were tied and stuffed in drums with the drugs having holes for breathing that were towed or pulled from areas far from entry points. I did not need some RICH college professor living off of my over priced tuition, Social Media or RICH cable news celebrities to set my opinions because I worked in those areas. Its almost bad as kids suffered in Vietnam. Drug Lords & gangs won't move to the rich neighborhoods, but they will settle in the areas that I grew up in (Bronx or Brooklyn, etc.) even as they are right now. Release them from jail, give them financial aid,  and send them to the hood to take over...

The border agent is saying the wall worked so well the illegal immigration was forced to dig tunnels which is something that is rarely done.
