@flashlightfreak9 agreed... and the fact that it pretty much becomes a laptop with USBs is amazing.. and the dock recharges the tab.. Asus = Greatness

@MegaIceman1977 There is 30-pin connector at the right side. You can buy 30-pin to USB convertor for $20.

Depends... I prefer the Galaxy Note because of the Spen, I like drawing on the go. The only advantage I see in the Asus Transformer is the battery that comes in the dock.

if you're looking right now and are in the UK then PCWorld have an offer of £80 cashback (£30 from them and £50 from Samsung) when you buy the Galaxy Note 10.1, or the Galaxy Tab2 10.1... pretty good deal, and they even price match cheaper places... like Tesco who are selling them for £318 and £238 respectively

It doesn't work with the Note 10.1; although if you want to take out the black plastic insert at the top and pad the back out a bit with some polystyrene then it can be made to work. Samsung sell one specifically for the Note 10.1.

To clarify. A couple of times I could not use the tablet or unlock it when it was docked. I had to hold the power switch down and reboot the device. Tonight I've had one failure where I tried to turn the tablet on after docking it. Otherwise I've docked and undocked it several times.

Good video. I have the same gear. The keyboard worked great before I loaded the upgrade to Android 4.04. Now the tablet freezes when I dock it in the keyboard.
The onscreen keyboard should never assert when docked in the external keyboard or connected to a bluetooth keyboard. There should at the very least be an option in device settings for this.

really doubt it, casue the note feature a different connection, just a standard mirco usb connector basically.

why not try a bluetooth keyboard which can be paired with ANY bluetooth enabled devices?

I cracked and bought the 10.1 the other day, but the accessories available for it aren't that great.

I had a $50 Best Buy gift card and didnt even use it. My main issue is really the lack of ports on everything including the tablet itself. The dock for example is just a piece of plastic with a charging port. Why not HDMI or mini-HDMI out?

Its the best tablet I have used, but something like the Thrive or Iconia did the expansion and ports right. Leaving out SD and HDMI shouldn't happen.
