Seiko SPRD37 'Mockingbird' First Look + Where to Buy?

Hey guys! I just picked up the brand new Seiko Cocktail Time Mockingbird! Here's a first look, why I think it's the ultimate autumn/winter watch, and why you should buy from Macy's!

I'm in love! I've lusted at times over the ice blue dial; seriously considered the deeper blue, and aside from wincing at the faux gold case of the warm bronze dial I've never been satisfied enough to pull the trigger. Now I am convinced. Frankly the diameter is larger than I'd prefer, but the green is amazing. When you turned off the camera lights the indices and hands were striking in contrast to the dial color! I love it. And I like to think the gold second hand ties in with the gold of the rotor. Your strap choices were spot on, and when pictured with your Autumn wardrobe choices (no one but you could pull that off so effectively) I'm sold! Chicago recently has experienced cooler crisper temps, and more now than ever I can't wait for the most beautiful time of year here in the Midwest. You are amazing, and thank you for sharing!!

Hi Josh, thanks for the review. I saw your car channel, you recommended Seiko to me. I have a few Rolex watches and Omega. I am going to buy this green face model. It looks like a steal. I have a fabulous, rare 2017 Lex GS F V 8 that I can never sell! Your correct, the new Lexus models have plastic interiors now (other than the LC 500 in toasted caramel). Cheers!

I got my mockingbird for the same price from Macy’s but got a different box. I really don’t care about the box because it the watch I am getting it for.

This is my second cocktail. The first one is the blue. I love this Seiko line. The blue is my go to casual dress watch for the summer/spring months. This one has definitely become my go to fall/winter casual dress watch. I pared mine with a strapco jubilee from Long Island Watch.

i'm getting one. wanted a cocktail time for a while now, wanted a green watch, it's my fav color. need a dress watch. Checks all boxes. Beautiful. Sometimes Macys has this on sale but it is 425 currently.

I go the Seiko Presage Red SRPE41. The watch’s dial is amazing.

The green dial looks gorgeous and like many people I was sold the first time I saw it

But then I saw the watch in real life, in normal ambient lighting, and the dial wasn't as pretty as I had expected - as demonstrated in this video, it almost looks just black; you had to REALLY look for it to notice the green

Maybe for some people this is a good thing, but for me it put me off from getting the watch - if I wanted a watch that looked like it had a black dial under normal lighting, I would just get a watch with a black dial

personally i love the green and the brown sunray cocktail time the best. i just acquired the brown version recently after getting this version about 1 year ago.
