The Black Footballers Partnership has criticised elements of the English media for using a photo of Bukayo Saka, alongside reports critical of the England team in the aftermath of Friday night's shock home defeat to Iceland.

You could argue that the image was chosen because it allowed the Sun to use the 'plane awful' pun, and Saka was ill-advised to throw a paper plane back to the crowd. It made him an easy target. He did nothing in the game to warrant being vilified or scapegoated like he was after the Euro 2020 Final defeat to Italy. That said, it makes you wonder why the media weren't more sensitive to that history when making this editorial decision. They provide a platform for racism that's for damned sure.

Of course the Black Footballers Partnership fail to mention that at the end of the game, you know when the loss is confirmed, there were EIGHT black players and THREE white players on the pitch.

They used a photo which contains something different i.e Saka throwing a paper plane.

This is the reason they used that photo, it was something different.

Best way to approach this issue from now on is to only use photos of black players when England win and use photos of white players when they lose and every black player in the england team gets a minimum 8/10 rating for every game.

If people want equality it includes the bad parts of equality i.e. criticism, some people seem to forget that.
