Let's talk about what I like (and sometimes don't) about my Nespresso VertuoPlus machine. What are your thoughts on it?

*I've also included a link to the same model of the machine below - one from Nespresso, where you can get $40 off your first machine using my code: DEEDBS

The other from Target, where I got my machine:

For those wondering - the only real difference between the deluxe and regular vertuo is the size of the water tank and some of the material for certain parts of the machine. I haven't heard complaints about either in regards to the differences, but I do like a bigger water tank so that was my reasoning for spending the extra! Thank you all as always for supporting the channel :) <3

I have one of these in red with the smaller water tank which is great for my smaller kitchen. I love the electronic lid. I've had it for 4 years. Never had a single problem with it. I did demos of Nespresso machines in retail stores as a part time gig for years (it was so fun) and I just did NOT like the machines with the manual locking lid. I found them clunky and not as pretty. And there was always a lot of liquid in the pod holder after the brewing cycle finished. I thought the coffee tasted watered down too. That's just me though. I love my machine and hope it lasts forever. ☕💙

I just replaced my original DeLonghi Nespresso coffee and espresso maker with this Plus Deluxe machine. This is a pretty, space-saving machine and does a respectable job, but it is underpowered relative to the original. The froth (the pseudo-crema) on the original was thick and creamy. The crema THIS machine produces is more like a bit of foam that breaks down quickly. Unless you compare it to the original product, you might not realize that, but it really does make a difference. The coffee is still better than the weak garbage put out by a Keurig machine (which is just a drip through a really tiny filter cup), but it is not as good as the original Nespresso maker and certainly not close to a professional high-pressure coffee house machine. But... I'm sticking with it. Amazon put the original on sale for only $20 more than this machine shortly after I bought it, but, when I checked that one out, apparently, the originals are having a high rate of returns on Amazon, which means their manufacturing quality has apparently gone down. My original worked for around 6 or 7 years, IIRC, before it gave up. An Italian guy on YouTube actually walks through a DYI fix of the original, but it's got a lot of parts and a lot of disassembly, so I'm hesitant to try. The Plus Deluxe machine is good enough that I'll stick with what I've got for now, but, again, NOT as good as the original.

Great content! I make a lot of milk based drinks and I have to go with next or pop since they have milk-friendly extraction. I can for instance get a double espresso from a mug pod. I agree the plus is more reliable and it’s unfortunate that it isn’t compatible with milk-friendly extraction.
