There is a current backlash to AI avatars. Once you know that they are AI (and it’s very easy to spot) you immediately don’t trust the information you’re being given. You know it’s not a human so it’s no better than dealing with a bot, when most people would rather talk to a real person. Gen Z’s are particularly turned off and reject them instantly.

I took a look at their pricing and I think some of the features you showcased are enterprise solutions. For example voice cloning is only available with their enterprise plan.
So I guess this video was more like an ad for their service. I was not aware of this when I watched it.

Hi Bob. These tools are amazing! You do a great job explaining them, but I was wondering if there is anything out there that generates ACCESSIBLE content? I'm thinking that avatars would be ideal for BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE (BSL) on websites. Do you know of a tool that can do that?

The $29/month plan only gives 10 minutes of video A MONTH (I would need 60 minutes of video A DAY!).
The $264.00/year plan only gives 120 minutes A YEAR.
What good is 10 minutes of video a month to anyone? Ridiculous.
Also, the avatars that come with this software all look like stiffs from Hicksville.

I enjoyed this video tremendously. Is there an AI voice generator that will sample an audio track that I have, that will then convert a script using the sample? I have a few audio samples of a man, and want to create a new script using this source sample.

The problem as some have pointed is the number of minutes PER YEAR in these plans. Someone serious about using this tool would like need more than 30 minutes a month if he or she is a creator. If you do a couple of video a month, there goes your allowance. Hedra gives 110 minutes per month for less money and I still think that is not enough. I don't see how Synthesia is going to remain competitive in the long run. Maybe the Enterprise plan with unlimited videos is at a price point where serious creators can afford.

The insane level of content moderation on this platform all but guarantees that the product will only be used to churn regurgitated garbage for tiktok and youtube. It's already a huge problem as it is and now it's only going to get worse. You can't use it for anything ACTUALLY creative because the rails it locks you on and the insane levels of moderation in place. You can't use it for jokes or memes or it gets flagged for "misinformation". Cool idea but hot garbage implementation. Thanks for the video Bob, top tier breakdown as usual, no disrespect to you of course.
